How to authenticate your Slack Account?

  • On the InterviewVector platform, navigate to the Integrations page from the left navigation bar.
  • Select Slack from the list and click on Authenticate.
  • On authentication panel opened in new tab, enter the credentials and then click on Allow.
Note

The authentication step can only be performed by your organisation’s Slack Admin user.

How to set a Slack channel for notifications?

Option 1: Set unique channels for each notification type

  • On the Integrations page, click on Configure inside the Slack integration card.
  • Select the type of notifications that you want to receive on your slack.
  • Corresponding to each Notification type assign any existing public slack channel of your organisation.
  • Click on Save button on top of the page.

Option 2: Set a common channel for all notification types

  • On the Integrations page, click on Configure inside the Slack integration card.
  • Select the “Set a common channel for all selected notifications” option.
  • Assign any existing public slack channel of your organisation.
  • Click on Save button on top of the page.
Note

Private channels can not be assigned for notifications.

How to create a new Slack channel?

  • Inside Slack integration, click on the Create Slack Channel button.
  • On the modal, give a name to the new channel that you are creating.
  • Then click on Confirm button.
Note

On doing this if the new channel is successfully created, you will be able to find the newly added channel on the list of channels dropdown on selection of any type of notification.

How to deactivate Slack integration?

  • On the Integrations page, click on Activation Toggle button inside the Slack integration card
  • On the modal, click on Deactivate button.
Note

On doing this, your slack integration will be deactivated and you won’t receive notifications on your slack channel any further.
